Detailed Description:

  • Assist the Pumping Specialist, Sr. in developing operating procedures and ensuring job safety.
  • Aid in the execution of pumping operations.
  • Interact with customers and third-party personnel as directed.
  • Coordinate rig-up and rig-down activities under guidance from the Pumping Specialist, Sr.
  • Comply with company SOPs and make necessary adjustments as job scope changes.
  • Provide input for employee performance feedback and recommendations to management.
  • Help prepare job reports for customers and management.
  • Communicate with maintenance personnel regarding equipment status to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in supervising crew members.
  • Handle field ticketing and bonus sheets.
  • Transport heavy equipment to and from job sites.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with customer and company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, identifying and addressing risks and hazards.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Utilize competency processes to enhance job performance.

Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of pump operations.
  • Familiarity with DOT rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of the Journey Management process.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of company SOPs.
  • Understanding of field ticketing processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of company policies, quality and HSE standards, and departmental guidelines.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and supervise crew members.
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to conduct pre- and post-job safety meetings.
  • Proficiency with data acquisition systems.

Language Comprehension:
Must understand and speak English at a level allowing issuance, receipt, and response to safety and operations-related directions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, or applicable experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of oilfield experience required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must have a valid CDL A driver’s license with proper endorsements for the type of vehicle operated, issued by the state of residence.

Skills are typically acquired by completion of the required competency process. The Pumping Specialist plays a critical supporting role in pumping operations, ensuring the effective and safe execution of job tasks while working toward greater competency and responsibility.
