- Collect blood from flock as needed to review vaccination titer work, and flock certification every 14 weeks for NPIP purposes.
- Assist pullet manager as directed.
- Bleed pullets and breeder hens as scheduled.
- Collect fat and blood samples prior to processing.
- Prepare and deliver samples to State Lab.
- Create weekly schedule.
- Assist in the delivery of pullets to the Farm.
- Adhere to animal welfare policy.
- All other relevant duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science or other closely related field of study preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- General knowledge and usage of computers, internet, and spreadsheet and word processing software.
Skills Required
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science or related field
