The Role

Overview:

Hisense USA seeks an exceptionally skilled and seasoned public relations practitioner to join the team. The role would be a good fit for candidates interested in applying their public relations expertise in a major global consumer electronics and home appliance brand. The ideal candidates should possess extensive experience in the U.S. public relations landscape with exceptional communication skills. This position serves as a vital conduit to the Hisense Americas Regional Office, shaping brand perception and driving communications that resonate with the U.S. market. The ideal candidate would be a key voice for the brand in the Americas, building relationships with media and stakeholders while demonstrating a cultural open-mindedness to operate effectively within a global company.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develops and executes strategic communications plans that are aligned with Hisense's objectives in the U.S.
  • Manages and implements PR campaigns, ensuring the campaigns are consistent with the company's brand identity, mission, and goals.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with top-tier media outlets, key influencers, and industry professionals to significantly enhance the company’s presence in the U.S. market.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between Hisense USA and the Americas Regional Office, facilitating seamless communication and supporting the larger strategy.
  • Oversees all aspects of internal and external communications, including writing and distributing releases, managing the corporate newsroom, preparing presentations, etc.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and reports on the effectiveness of all PR campaigns, using data to refine and optimize future strategies.
  • Proactively identifies new opportunities for media engagement across all product lines, including TV, projectors, audio products, home appliances, air conditioners, etc.
  • Manages product reviews as well as the planning, licensing, and marketing of awards and accolades from U.S. media.
  • Prepares talking points and scripts for senior executives for media interviews, conference keynotes, and internal communications.
  • Provides support for internal communication efforts related to trade shows, press conferences, media tours, among others.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related liberal arts background.
  • 8-12 years of progressive experience in corporate communications and strategic communications, with a proven track record of success in consumer electronics, home appliances, or other related technology sectors.
  • An exceptional command of the English language, with a proven ability to write and edit with precision and clarity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in U.S. public relations practices and media relations.
  • A proven ability to work effectively in a global business setting and a genuine open-mindedness toward new cultural environments.
  • A strategic and creative thinker with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Agency experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to relocate to the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area is required.
