The Role
About AirDNA

We built AirDNA to solve a problem: how do you make smart short-term rental decisions when there’s too much guesswork and not enough good data?
What started in a garage in California in 2015 is now a global team helping thousands of people — from aspiring hosts to major real estate firms — make confident choices about where to invest, what to charge, and how to grow.

Our mission is simple: give people the tools they need to build freedom through short-term rentals. Whether that means buying their first Airbnb or scaling a portfolio, we’re here to help unlock financial independence and growth.

We track 10M+ listings in 120,000 markets, and our platform is trusted by users in over 100 countries. It’s big data, made useful.

In 2024, AirDNA acquired Uplisting, a powerful property management software that helps hosts and operators manage listings across Airbnb, Vrbo, and other platforms. With features like channel management, automated messaging, dynamic pricing, task coordination, and financial reporting, Uplisting expands our mission to support every stage of the short-term rental journey — from investment to operations.

The AirDNA team

We’re a curious, driven, and kind group of humans who genuinely love what we do. Our values — Happy, Hungry, Honest — guide how we show up for our customers and for each other.
Want to see what that looks like in action? You’ll get a feel once you meet us.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don’t check every box. Passion, potential, and perspective matter here.

The Role:
We're searching for a data-savvy communicator to amplify our share of voice across the globe. As AirDNA’s PR Associate, you'll be the frontline in engaging with top global media institutions, weaving our stories, and forging lasting connections with the movers and shakers of the hospitality industry. Your mission? To respond with agility to media inquiries, leverage our extensive research, and spearhead our efforts in making every piece of data tell a story. Working in tandem with our Content and Research teams, you will ensure the data we share is not only timely but spot-on in accuracy. You’ll also support our presence at key industry events, from coordinating logistics to preparing messaging and materials that reinforce our story on the ground. You'll play an essential part in ensuring our brand, insights, and narratives are always at the forefront of the short-term rental industry's most relevant conversations.

Here's what you'll get to do:

  • Manage and respond to global press inquiries with agility and professionalism.
  • Maintain and update targeted media lists across regions and industries.
  • Track, analyze, and report press performance: coverage, share of voice, sentiment.
  • Pitch AirDNA insights to Tier 2/3 outlets, local and vertical-specific media.
  • Translate data into media-friendly insights and compelling storylines.
  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
  • Support events—from booth logistics to messaging to pre/post communications.
  • Prepare press kits, media alerts, and coverage summaries.
  • Coordinate with marketing and product teams on announcements and launches.
  • Contribute to podcast, partnership, and special PR initiatives.
  • Ensure brand presence is consistent, professional, and aligned with company messaging.

Here's what you'll need to be successful:

  • 2+ years in PR, media, journalism, or communications roles.
  • Full proficiency in English; multilingual is a plus.
  • Strong writer, researcher, and communicator skills, especially when explaining data.
  • Previous exposure to fast-paced tech/startup environments preferred.
  • Curiosity about media, data, travel, and tech.
  • Proven ability to pitch media and land coverage.
  • Working knowledge of PR tools like Muck Rack, Meltwater, or Cision.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Confidence managing logistics and messaging for industry events.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and explain it in engaging, understandable terms to media and industry outsiders.

Here's what you can expect from us:

  • Base salary of 28,000 - 30,000 EUR annually
  • Indefinite contract
  • Eligible for annual company bonus program
  • 36 holidays per year
  • Flexibility to work from anywhere!
  • Continuing education stipend
  • 150 EUR to spend with Cobee card available monthly for public transport, daycare, pension plan, restaurants and health insurance
  • Health insurance with Sanitas (Vision + Dental included)
  • Language lessons with Preply (French-German-Italian-Spanish)
  • Individual growth plan to progress in the role
  • Standard working hours from 11 am to 7 pm
  • A fun and sunny office with big terraces
  • Talented international team and a vibrant work environment
  • Bottom-up management: we listen to your ideas and implement them
  • Team building events
  • Dog friendly office!

What We Do

AirDNA began with a big dream in a balmy California garage in 2015. Since then, the technology startup has grown into the leading provider of data and business intelligence for the billion-dollar travel and vacation rental industry—with offices in Denver and Barcelona.

Our self-serve platform eliminates guesswork and equips Airbnb hosts with smart and competitive insights needed to succeed in the ever-evolving short-term rental landscape.

We also arm enterprise clients with customized reports and in-depth dashboards to ensure they can scale and invest strategically. These customers include hundreds of top financial institutions, real estate companies, vacation rental managers, and destination marketing organizations around the world.

We track the daily performance of over 10 million Airbnb and Vrbo properties across 120,000 global markets. We also collect data from over a million partner properties. This marriage of scraped and source data, enhanced by our proprietary algorithms, makes our solutions the most accurate and comprehensive in the world.

We’re firm believers that data isn’t the destination; it’s the starting point. The launchpad. The bedrock for any future-forward business.
