Job Summary:
Must be based in the Chicago-land area and able to work in the downtown Chicago office.
This role will directly support the Office of the Executive Committee and conduct research to inform corporate strategy. They will research and prepare reports on policy and regulatory changes in the United States that may impact life sciences companies globally.
Essential Functions:
- Research new executive orders in the US and how they could impact drug pricing, the regulatory landscape and clinical research.
- Monitor and identify impacts to and manufacturing shifts for pharmaceutical companies, med device companies, generic companies, and the general healthcare landscape
- Research Federal legislation, market access, and pricing changes
- Deep dive into regulations and executive order details
- Monitor media stories, thought leadership, and press releases
- Produce written summaries and reports
- Maintain knowledge on key news and regulatory events
- Conduct market research
- Other tasks as requested
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
- Currently studying public policy, public health, government affairs, or a related field
- Intellectually curious and a diligent researcher
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to understand regulatory language
- Attention to detail and quick learner
- Ability to work independently in office setting
- Familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Educational Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in at least junior or senior year of undergraduate studies. Open to graduate students as well.
