- Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities
- Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects
- Communicate project status and results to staff mentors and management
- Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry
- Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies
- Performs other duties as assigned

An Intern in this role can expect to:
Work closely with Health Policy leadership to track regulatory and legislative proposals at both the state and federal level.
Assist with preliminary policy research, analysis, and literature review to be used in policy positioning papers, comments on proposed federal regulations, and other documents to support the state and federal government relations teams.
Draft policy positioning papers, talking points, rule summaries, and other documents to support the state and federal government relations teams.
Provide analysis on key health policy issues including Medicaid, Marketplace, Medicare Advantage, and Part D.
Work in coordination with the External Affairs leadership team to identify and complete a "signature project" that aligns with Centene's mission, goals, and outstanding needs.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.
The salary range is: $21.00 - $35.00 per hour

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, degree program, degree level, number of years of participation in the internship program, and other job-related factors permitted by law
