Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Public Policy Expert who will drive our strategy for public policy initiatives and oversee government engagement across Europe and North America. In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening our efforts in public policy and developing a comprehensive strategy for the future. We need someone who can effectively communicate our priorities to policymakers in Europe and North America, help them understand the complex and fast-paced video games industry, and lead the changes we want to see in public regulations - ensuring our sector can thrive and reach new heights.

As our new Public Policy Expert, you will report to the VP, Legal and work closely with our communications, product, and executive teams in shaping our policy positions and strategy.

This is a hybrid or fully on-site position based at our headquarters in Warsaw, Poland (with a minimum of three days per week in the office).

In this role, you will

  • Monitor and analyse legislative developments, policy trends and industry issues important to us.
  • Develop a public policy strategy and external advocacy programs across Europe and North America.
  • Represent CD PROJEKT RED externally and engage with key policy makers and government officials to drive our advocacy efforts on regulatory and policy issues.
  • Collaborate with our teams to develop external narratives and execute public policy outreach that supports business goals and elevates the company’s profile.
  • Articulate our public policy positions in briefing papers and consultation responses.
  • Work with external stakeholders to understand and account for their views about our product policies.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on matters of public policy to inform our perception and direction.
  • Engage with trade groups to advance our policy positions with the broader industry.
  • Act as an advocate for our values and principles.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ relevant experience working with government, think tanks, public interest groups. technology industry groups or corporate public policy organizations.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Track record of successful execution and strong relationship building skills.
  • Self-directed, with the ability to define your own work and processes.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of ethical conduct and integrity.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Polish.
  • Openness to frequent travel.

Preferred qualifications

  • Expertise in video games, creative and tech sectors, knowledge of consumer protection, IP, privacy and online safety policies. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Law, Political Science, Media, Public Policy, etc.).

Working mode

In-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity in Warsaw, Poland. Relocation is required.

The studio is part of the larger CD PROJEKT S.A. Capital Group, which also includes Spokko, a mobile-focused developer responsible for The Witcher: Monster Slayer, and The Molasses Flood, a development studio in Boston, which is currently working on a game based on one of CD PROJEKT RED’s IPs.
