The opportunity
Land CA has an opportunity for a program analyst to contribute to the development and execution of the CA Public Awareness program. This program supports damage prevention through public safety engagement for operational and project activities across TCE’s CA footprint.
What you will do
In this exciting role, you will support the CA Public Awareness Program lead on a diverse makeup of public awareness and damage prevention related activities. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Support Public Awareness Advisor to implement and administer public awareness policies, programs and processes

Monitor third-party risks, damages, and unauthorized activities
-
Support operations teams to identify threat areas and implementation of mitigation efforts
-
Analyze and track metrics as it relates to pipeline safety to identify trends and develop action plans
-
Interface with key stakeholders and identified audiences, including developing presentations, support planning and hosting meetings or training sessions
-
Assist field operations with coordination of public awareness liaison meetings as required
-
Interface with internal departments, vendors stakeholders and industry organizations
-
Manage records and prepare documentation for public awareness program activities, including regulatory inspections
-
Support work with local and provincial One Call programs designed to assist in the prevention and reduction of damages to pipeline facilities

Act as an ambassador of TC Energy with external stakeholders with a focus on enhancing relationships with TC Energy landowners

Monitor performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing any required changes
-
Champion and promotion of a safe work culture.
Minimum Qualifications
-
University Degree or appropriate professional accreditation
-
Minimum 4 years of related experience
-
Experience in Damage Prevention, Public Awareness, Community Engagement, Regulatory Compliance, and/or Emergency Management (Energy Industry-preferred)
-
Dynamic broad thinking that recognizes interdependencies and connections in complex environments and able to appreciate multi-faceted contexts.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Post-secondary education, a degree or business diploma, coupled with a minimum 5 years of experience in Public Awareness, Stakeholder Engagement, Land Management, Communications or Government Relations in the context of the infrastructure industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge of federal, provincial, legislative, and regulatory requirements for Land, and the ability to apply such knowledge

Knowledge of Public Awareness/Damage Prevention and land procedures, relevant legislation and regulations
-
Knowledge of pipeline and facility construction, and operations best management practices
-
Proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to gather, analyze and interpret complex data
-
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
-
Familiarity with business analysis methodologies and frameworks
-
General knowledge of applicable codes, practices, laws, and regulatory processes relevant to the energy infrastructure
-
Skills and experience in project management and project execution methodologies.
This position requires candidates to:

Travel within CA may be required; and as such the candidate must be able to provide applicable travel documentation

Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review.
