CRG is seeking a Public Affairs Specialist to support Government public affairs, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and industry outreach activities for the DCMA Blue List Program. Public Affairs Specialists provide advisory, communications, and administrative support to Government public affairs personnel and do not perform inherently governmental functions, serve as an official spokesperson, or release official Government communications without Government approval.

This role covers strategic messaging, multimedia production, and outreach event support, producing everything from digital content and social media materials to briefing packages and technical articles in support of Government public affairs objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic communications, industry engagement, and multimedia content development, ideally within a government, defense, or regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications & Content

  • Assist the Government in implementing strategic communications, public messaging, outreach materials, industry engagement initiatives, digital communications, and other communication products supporting the Blue List Program
  • Develop multimedia products, including professional photography, videography, graphic design, presentations, digital content, technical articles, program publications, correspondence, and social media content, in support of Government public affairs objectives
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, speeches, presentation materials, fact sheets, newsletters, and other communications products to support Government leadership during internal and external engagements, as directed by the Government

Event & Outreach Coordination

  • Assist the Government in planning, coordinating, and supporting industry days, conferences, workshops, demonstrations, training events, public engagements, and other outreach activities, including event planning, scheduling, logistics coordination, promotional materials, event registration, and post-event communications

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor communication metrics, public engagement activities, and outreach initiatives, and provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of Government communication strategies and stakeholder engagement efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, or a minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience supporting public affairs, strategic communications, multimedia production, outreach, or related activities
  • Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating, and supporting conferences, industry days, workshops, trade shows, or similar outreach events, including event scheduling, logistics, promotion, and coordination
  • Demonstrated experience developing written communications, multimedia products, digital content, presentations, and communication materials using industry-standard software applications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (ADP/IT-II) investigation on file in DISS at the time of offer

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
  • At least five years of verifiable experience supporting public affairs, strategic communications, multimedia production, outreach, or related activities, if substituting for the degree
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and supporting conferences, industry days, workshops, trade shows, or similar outreach events
  • Experience with event scheduling, logistics, promotion, and coordination
  • Experience developing written communications, multimedia products, digital content, presentations, and communication materials using industry-standard software applications
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Favorably adjudicated Tier 3 ADP/IT-II investigation on file in DISS at the time of offer
