What you'll be doing:

  • You'll step into a dynamic role within our Communications and Content team, supporting our work across political, parliamentary and regulatory affairs.

  • You'll help track and analyse political and regulatory developments, working closely with colleagues across the business to understand what they mean for our customers, partners and products.

  • You'll support the development of briefings, consultation responses and stakeholder materials, helping to build relationships with policymakers, regulators and industry bodies.

  • Using research and insight, you'll help identify emerging risks and opportunities, contributing to a public affairs strategy that protects and strengthens our reputation.

  • Work closely with agency partners to maximise cross-collaboration opportunities and efforts across public affairs and public relations.

What we're looking for:

  • A graduate with a degree in a relevant discipline such as Law, Politics, Economics, Business, or a related subject (with, or on track to achieve, a 2:1 or above).

  • A genuine interest in politics, policy and regulation, and how they affect business and consumers.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex issues into clear, compelling messages.

  • Proactive, able to prioritise and manage multiple pieces of work at pace.

  • Comfortable operating within a regulated environment, with an understanding of the importance of accuracy and integrity in public-facing work.

  • Able to develop trust and credibility through stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.

  • A growth mindset, always looking for new ways to add value or improve how we engage with government, regulators and industry.

  • Able to work with anyone and understand that everyone has a different perspective and know that's what makes it exciting.

  • Evidence of an interest in public affairs, politics, or regulatory issues through academic projects, internships, work experience, extracurricular activities, personal projects, or other relevant experience.

Skills Required

  • Understanding of how to create compelling content across multiple channels
  • Marketing background (advantageous)
