In this position….
This position provides an exciting opportunity as a leader in the Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) Organization
Lead an engineering team to design, build and implement manufacturing processes for new and upgrade Axle programs for Ford Motor Company’s best-selling vehicles.
What you’ll do…
- Ensure process, facilities, equipment and tooling are provided for new programs in accordance with Powertrain Standards, Bill of Process (BOP), Procedures and Guidelines and Global Product Development System (GPDS) requirements.
- Maintain and update Axle Assembly BoP Standards
- Drive Simultaneous Engineering activities, cost studies and investment efficiency activities to meet targets
- Deliver Quality Operation Systems (QOS) requirements through Failure Mode Avoidance, Dynamic Control Planning and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (e.g. FMA, DCP, FMEAs, SCCAF, etc.)
- Develop workplans to deliver programs and projects
- Utilize Lessons Learned / Continuous Improvement Process
- Perform supervisory duties (individualized objective setting and alignment to strategic action plans, check-ins, performance reviews, travel requests, timecard approvals, compensation planning) for all personnel assigned.
- Lead, mentor, coach, counsel, recognize and motivate employees
- Assess employee competencies and support individual development plans, support employee growth through training classes and development assignments
- Provide plant assistance for ongoing kaizen events and extraordinary quality/downtime challenges
You’ll have…
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Min of 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing
- Manufacturing experience in Assembly or Machining process engineering and New Programs / Launches (Engine, Transmission, Power Unit or Axle)
- Demonstrate leadership in Ford OS Behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team building and communication skills
- Must be a self-starter and self-directed
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to remain resilient in times of ambiguity and constant change
- Flexible work locations with ability to travel globally based on business needs

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
