Job Summary
Under the direction of the Neuropsychologist, the Psychometrist will perform standardized neuropsychological testing for patients of all ages who have problems affecting brain and behavior including neurodegenerative conditions, cerebrovascular disease, MS, epilepsy, stroke, brain tumor, head injury, learning disability, ADHD, developmental disorders and other syndromes. The psychometrist makes behavioral observations as part of the psychologist's test interpretation. This position will work closely with patients for extended periods of time.
What you will do

  • Administer and score a wide variety of neuropsychological tests according to standardized methods and protocols. Observe patient’s behavior and affect during evaluation and record observations clearly and concisely.
  • Perform calculations and reference normative tables to compute means, percentages, and other summary statistics. Enter scores and other data in databases.
  • Clearly communicate test scores and associated testing information and furnish test results and other clinical observations to Neuropsychologists in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage completed patient charts, including scanning into secure medical record database
  • Partner with psychologists’ research projects by entering, monitoring and analyzing patient information for academic and clinical research of department psychologists.
  • Maintain test equipment, testing rooms, and record forms. Perform inventory and order new supplies as necessary.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of psychometric test administration Preferred

  • Ability to observe and assess subtle behavioral cues and respond accordingly to ensure the patient’s best performance.
  • Ability to produce and submit data in an accurate and timely manner

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field

  • Knowledge of psychology, statistics, and brain anatomy consistent with Bachelor's level
