Summary:
The Child Mind Institute offers graduate students in doctoral psychology programs 12-month externships in the following six tracks:
- Anxiety Disorders Center externship
- ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center externship
- Autism Center externship
- Clinical Assessment and Research externship
- Gund Learning and Diagnostic Center (Neuropsychology) externship
- Mood Disorders Center externship
- Bubrick Center for Pediatric OCD Center externship
Externs will receive at least one hour of 1:1 supervision per week, as well as an additional hour of supervision in group formats. In accordance with NYNJADOT-PSYDNYS Externship Guidelines, externs will also receive direct observation at least once per academic semester.
Each externship will begin on July 1, 2025, with a mandatory orientation that will take place July 1 & 2, 2026. The externship will end on June 30, 2027.
Each extern reports to their respective center Senior Director, or Training Coordinator.
