Position Title: Psychiatrist
Department: Youth Psychiatry
Reports To: Medical Director and Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for all psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and related medication reviews and psychiatric discharge summaries.

CATEGORIES OF DUTIES
1. Psychiatric Evaluations
2. Medication Consultations
3. Participation in Medical Staff meetings and committees, as requested, including peer review
4. Consultation and training of staff, as requested
5. Utilization Review, when requested, including phone calls to physicians and case managers
6. On Call availability, as needed
7. A monthly schedule of hours working at Tarzana Treatment Center, to be provided prior to the start of each month to the Clinical Director
8. Completion of the credentialing, privileging and Medical Staff application/re-application process
EDUCATION
Current California Sate License in Psychiatry
Medical Doctor with Psychiatric specialty
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from substance abuse.
