POSITION SUMMARY
This is a part-time position with the potential to become full-time. The role is responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, medication reviews, psychiatric consultations, and recommendations for medical follow up to psychiatrically disabled individuals. Functions as the senior treatment staff of the comprehensive mental health team, verifies and approves diagnoses, treatment goals, treatment plans, and the closing of cases.
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) Degree
- Must be Board eligible or certified as a psychiatrist
- State of Michigan.
- Must have adequate professional liability coverage.
- Must have D.E.A. License and Michigan Controlled Substance License.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance.
- Extensive knowledge of various treatment methods for the mentally ill.
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to professional code of ethics.
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with the Michigan Mental Health Code.
- Ability to function as part of a professional team.
- Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work.

Skills Required
