What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
Education
- Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Experience
- Clinical experience working with adults in residential or community-based settings
- Experience with County mental health systems, child welfare, and/or juvenile probation services is strongly preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Current, active medical license in good standing with the state medical board
- Valid DEA license
- Current malpractice insurance coverage
- Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance and must maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy.
How you will make a difference (job overview):
The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric services to clients receiving care through Starlight Community Services, supporting individuals with complex behavioral health needs in community settings.
Division/Program Overview:
- Serves adults (18+) and older adult populations
- Fully community-based program, with all services delivered in clients’ homes or within the community
- Clients present with complex, multi-faceted needs, including:
-- Medication management
-- Housing support
-- Vocational services
-- Independent living skills
- Mental health treatment
- Average service intensity is approximately 10 hours per client per month
- At full capacity, the program supports a census of approximately 50 adult clients
