As the first person our patients see and speak with, you'll play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while keeping our front office running smoothly.

Boone Memorial Health is a growing rural healthcare system serving southern West Virginia. Our organization includes a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, a Level IV Trauma Center, primary care clinics, specialty practices, walk-in clinics, retail pharmacies, and outpatient services. Responsibilities- Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information
- Schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
- Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Perform general clerical duties, including scanning, faxing, filing, and document management
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system
- Knowledge of medical scheduling, insurance verification, and patient registration

Boone Memorial Health is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit healthcare system based in Madison, West Virginia. It primarily serves patients across Boone, Lincoln, Logan, and southern Kanawha counties, operating a critical access hospital with a 25-bed inpatient unit, Level IV Trauma Center, and Black Lung Center, as well as rural health clinics and a substance and mental health treatment program.
