JOB TITLE:Senior Project Data Analyst (PSO)
The Senior Project Data Analyst is a core member of the Project Management Support Office (PMSO). This role leads a small team of PSO Coordinators and acts as the central driving force for project analytics, technology enablement, and operational efficiency across Product Development programs. The role combines project management experience, product development domain knowledge, and advanced digital automation skills (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Smartsheet) to elevate how the PMO delivers insights, reporting, and workflow automation. This position plays a critical role in modernizing the PMO, enabling predictive decision-making, and driving smart automation initiatives that reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and increase execution speed.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. PMO Operations & Project Support
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of PSO Coordinators supporting multiple projects across the product development lifecycle.
- Oversee project planning, tracking, financials, documentation control, and reporting, ensuring alignment with PMO standards
- Work with PMs to ensure all project reporting needs (status updates, dashboards, PMO reports) are consistently delivered with quality & reporting happens via Smartsheet (project plans, execution dashboards, risk logs).
B. Data Analytics & Reporting
- Own and deliver enterprise-grade reports and dashboards using:
- Power BI (portfolio KPIs, milestone health, risk heatmaps, capacity reports)
- Smartsheet dashboards (automated project health summaries, critical path insights)
- Establish automated data flows and reporting pipelines using Power Query / DAX.
- Improve visibility of project performance through actionable insights and trend analytics.
- Lead PMO digitization initiatives using the Power Platform:
- Build Power Apps to replace manual trackers and forms.
- Use Power Automate to eliminate repetitive tasks (approvals, reminders, workflows, updates).
- Drive integration of Smartsheet with Power BI, Power Automate, MS Teams, and SharePoint for seamless execution.
- Recommend new tools and methods to improve PMO efficiency (predictive analytics, AI-assisted reporting, automated health scoring).
C. Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement
- Standardize PMO reporting cadence, templates, documentation, and governance models.
- Identify inefficiencies across PMO processes and propose automation opportunities to reduce effort and cycle time.
- Contribute to PMO capability building—training PMs and PSO coordinators on digital tool usage.
3. Required Skills & Experience
A. Technical Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in Power BI (DAX, modeling, advanced visualization).
- Strong proficiency in:
- Power Apps (canvas & model-driven apps)
- Power Automate (flows, triggers, connectors)
- MS Excel (advanced)
- Smartsheet (formulas, automated workflows, dashboards, reports)
- Strong understanding of SharePoint, Teams, and cross-system integrations.
- Experience using or supporting PLM/Document Control systems (Windchill preferred).
B. Project Management & PMO Knowledge
- Overall 12+ Experience of which 8+ years working in Project Management, PMO, or Product Development environments.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end PDLM / Product Development processes (concept–launch–sustaining).
- Experience supporting or managing large cross-functional programs.
- Ability to read and interpret project schedules, risks, mitigation plans, resource demands, and budgets.
- Prior exposure to stage-gate processes
C. Leadership & Behavioral Skills
- Demonstrated experience leading small teams or coordinators.
- Strong influencing skills; able to partner with global R\&D, Quality, Marketing, and Operations.
- Ability to simplify complex data into clear executive-level insights.
- High ownership, discipline, and proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Customer-centric, collaborative, and passionate about process excellence.
4. Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Management, or related field).
- Master’s degree preferred.
- PMP, CAPM, Agile certifications, or similar credential is an added advantage.

6. Additional Notes (Optional)
- Role may interact with global teams across EU, APAC, and US.
- Occasional travel to R\&D or manufacturing sites depending on business needs.
