Job Description
Job Title: PS QA Consultant
Summary
The PS QA Consultant is responsible for defining/executing test scripts and cases based on the requirement document per functionality & implementation basis. They work in a team-oriented fashion with the core project team, including QA Consultants on project-related tasks. And able to communicate directly with the project team for meetings, status reports, defect triage, product demo, concerns, or issues encountered.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
Uses Genesys' specific tools to aid in the daily work routine, including but are not limited to Genesys Project, JIRA, Cyara, and automated testing tools. Collaborate and communicate in a team-oriented environment across the Quality Assurance and Professional Services team members across the regions. Follows the policies & guidelines of Genesys, Professional Services Department, and Quality Assurance practice team.
In this role the primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Development, documentation, and execution of automated & manual tests.
- Work collaboratively with Project Manager, Development, Implementation Practices & QA teams during all stages of the project delivery.
- Exposure to test automation tools
- Able to communicate and discuss with the Professional Services Team Member on the following: Project Issues / Roadblocks, Prerequisites to continue work, Defects being logged/encountered / Product Demo or Sprint Demo of what was tested during a specific sprint or project phase.
- Knowledge in any scripting language such as Java / Python
- Knowledge of Agile Development Framework
- Contributes on the improvement by creating reusable documents for reference in relevance of team's function or product.
- Flexible to changing schedule when business requires or specific tasks that the project requires.
- Submit project timesheets and workday timesheets on time.
- Constantly learn through in-house company Certifications of the Genesys Cloud Product and other workshop training provided by the company.
- Mostly focused towards North America based clients that requires to align or have overlap with the US Shift (Eastern).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Information Systems/Management
- Very good in technical writing and spoken English
- Able to navigate through the windows based systems and application or web-based (i.e. Salesforce, ServiceNow)
- Worked with different SDLC concepts High problem-solving and analytical skills
- Understands Flow Chart Designs
- 2 years of Genesys-platform experience or related industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in using test automation tools (such as Cyara, Katalon).
- Experience in agile-oriented project delivery.
