Our Product Safety and Compliance Analyst role is responsible for global product compliance in all phases of the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate ensures that our products adhere to relevant laws, regulations, standards, and internal policies. Our work focuses on preventing non-compliances, managing risks, and resolving issues when found. The PS&C Analyst role will be an integral part of the Product Safety and Compliance team, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to manage the safety profile for assigned product(s) throughout their lifecycle, supporting the optimal development and execution of operational procedures and standards. Responsible for providing scientific, technical, and analytical expertise and for leading and executing safety and benefit-risk management for YETI NPD programs.

Responsibilities:

· Contribute as a core team member on New Product Development teams by identifying regulatory requirements, coordinating external certification tests, and publishing technical documentation for global markets.

· Analyze changes to existing products, define regulatory impacts, and resolve gaps through interaction with testing laboratories and revision of technical documentation.

· Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functions in support of Post-Market Surveillance investigations, field activities, reporting, and initiating product improvements.

· Research industry standard methodologies and emerging trends in regulatory compliance to implement regulation changes and improvements.

· Develop, monitor, and improve internal processes, control systems, and tracking of metrics.

· Perform all job duties per policies and procedures, in a safe and ethical manner.

· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance including chemical compliance, with all relevant regulatory guidelines on a global scale. Knowledge of US, EU, Korea, Japan, China, MERCOSUR etc. compliance requirements for consumer products is desirable.

· Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze safety data using statistical methods and data analysis tools to evaluate potential risks and make recommendations.

· Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential safety risks, including labeling updates and risk communication strategies in global markets.

· Prepare and review safety and compliance-related documents, including test reports, risk management plans to support regulatory registrations of YETI products as needed.

· Work closely with Product Development, Quality, Packaging, Legal and other teams to ensure product safety of YETI products.

· Design scalable product testing frameworks that can flex to meet diverse regional needs.

· Support supplier audits for PS&C attributes.

Qualifications and Attributes:

· Bachelor’s Degree in a health or science discipline, with 2+ years of experience with safety risk management processes and procedures or 2+ years experience in equivalent quality, compliance, or verification roles.

· Exposure to manufacturing environments in consumer products is desirable.

· Involvement with product development and sustaining engineering activities, covering the entire product lifecycle.

· Working within Product Lifecycle Management systems to review and approve design drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.

· Participating in post-market surveillance activities such as investigations, root causes, and CAPA.

· Applying functional knowledge and risk-based analysis in risk assessment activities,

· Ability to execute safety science strategy and intermediate analytic and scientific skills

· Ability to analyze safety concepts or concerns of diverse scope across multiple consumer product categories

· Able to support YETI’s Restricted Substances List (RSL) program and RSL audit. Able to support Supplier audits for Food contact GMPs and GWPs
