Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Prudential Regulatory Reporting Senior Manager to take end-to-end ownership of our prudential regulatory reporting processes and team management. In this critical role, you will be the primary driver behind our capital and liquidity returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency.
Beyond day-to-day reporting, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our reporting infrastructure. Partnering with external vendors and internal Data Analytics team, you will lead data integration and system enhancement initiatives, translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, robust, and automated reporting solutions. The role will also play an important role in providing strategic insights to support sound decision making and advising on the financial implications of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end regulatory reporting lifecycle, focusing on capital adequacy and liquidity returns.
Review and challenge prudential regulatory reports, providing insightful management commentary on variances, trends, and capital/liquidity positions.
Monitor prudential regulatory changes, evaluate their business implications, and translate updates into robust data and system reporting solutions.
Collaborate effectively across Treasury, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and IT to ensure data sources are aligned with regulatory requirements.
Partner closely with external software providers and Data Engineering and Analytics teams to drive strategic development and enhancements to our reporting platforms and tools.
Oversee and execute detailed data mapping exercises. Guide Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to ensure data flowing into the reporting systems is accurate, scalable, and fit for purpose.
Act as the subject matter expert on reporting infrastructure projects. Manage testing phases (including User Acceptance Testing / UAT), validate outputs, and ensure seamless deployment of system updates.
Develop and maintain rigorous documentation covering data dictionaries, system workflows, and operational procedures. Design and implement robust control environments to mitigate reporting risks.
Proven experience in prudential regulatory reporting within an FCA-regulated (MIFIDPRU) investment firm or a PRA-regulated banking institution, including direct team management experience.
Deep technical understanding of prudential regulations (e.g., CRR, MIFIDPRU) and core treasury functions, with hands-on experience producing complex capital and liquidity returns.
Extensive project management and systems expertise, with a proven track record of leading reporting system enhancements, infrastructure upgrades, vendor implementations, data mapping, ETL processes, and UAT methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interrogate complex datasets, challenge outputs, and deliver actionable management insights.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, able to explain complex regulatory nuances to non-technical audiences and influence across finance, treasury, risk teams, and external vendors.
A recognised professional accounting or finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA) is highly desirable.
For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.
We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
