OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Data Quality Analyst serves as the primary contact for the Provincial BEBAS-TB team regarding data management, analysis, and visualization of project data. Additionally, the Data Quality Analyst prepared data required for reports to the National BEBAS-TB team. The Data Quality Analyst also participates in operational research and various assessments as needed. Their responsibilities include providing technical assistance to health facilities, as well as to district and provincial health office on TB data quality and analysis.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the preparation, management, analysis, and visualization data from BEBAS-TB activities, especially ICF and ACF.
  • Consolidate the data needed for BEBAS-TB activities in all BEBAS-TB supported district from District Data Associates
  • Together with the MEL Officer analyzing monitoring and evaluation data, tracking project targets and indicators to measure performance, and proposing improvements to enhance TB prevention and care in province level.
  • Collaborate with the MEL Officer to support the BEBAS-TB provincial technical team, provincial and district health office, and health facility in implementing the standard of care mentorship, identifying gaps, and utilizing the DQA tool in health facilities.
  • Provide technical assistance to provincial, district, and health facility data officers in data collection, data entry, quality checks, data processing, and analysis of TB data.
  • In consultation with the Research Advisor, HIS Advisor, and MERL Advisor, support implementation research and assessment in the province and districts, ensuring data quality checks are conducted during fieldwork.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, health information systems and other health areas are preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of four (5) years’ experience in data management or quantitative research.

Competencies:

  • Good understanding of basic monitoring and evaluation concepts, and strong data collection, analysis, and visualization skills

  • Understanding and familiarity of public health issues and infectious diseases in a complex environment

  • Specific TB knowledge is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent ability in using data systems like Microsoft Excel, STATA, Tableau or other software for reporting or analysis

  • Basic web-based data collection skills include collecting data using web-based tools such as Microsoft form, Survey Monkeys, Google Form, ONA/ODK, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills and intermediate proficiency in English language

  • Organizational and analytical skills

  • Flexibility in the approach of various problems in different settings

Physical demands:

  • Some domestic travel as required.

  • Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.
