Just 4 Kids Urgent care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work one to two 12-hour shifts per week in our Chubbuck location. This position will assess, plan, and provide care under the supervision of a physician. They will examine and treat urgent care patients to ensure proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will primarily be focused on:

  • Assess and treat patient needs within an urgent care setting and triage patients to differentiate between immediate and less urgent care.
  • Assess, plan, and treat patients under the supervision of a physician.
  • Perform digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor outpatient surgical procedures.
  • Participate in required education courses and perform CME credits to maintain license.
  • Communicate patient needs, diagnosis, and course of treatment to the patient, as well as other clinical staff and instruct and educate patients about discharge instructions if applicable.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation to Just 4 Kids Urgent Care staff, insurance carriers, and companies.
  • Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).
  • Ensure a superior patient experience, by embracing the Just 4 Kids mission and values, and treating all with compassion and respect.
Qualifications

The preferred candidate for the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position will have the following qualifications:

  • For PAs, successfully graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant Training Program and received and maintained certification.
  • For NPs, holds a current license as a registered nurse. Graduation with a masters degree from an accredited education program and successfully passing a certification exam.
  • Must possess a current license to practice medicine in the state of ID and an active DEA license and State Controlled Substance Certificate.
  • Knowledge of advanced medical terminology, basic emergency, pediatric and generalist procedures.
  • Ability to use the necessary equipment such as the nebulizer, EKG machine, etc.
  • Proven excellent quality and clinical standards.
  • Current PALS certified
  • Organizational and analytical skills necessary to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Ability to adjust responsibilities to accommodate a fast-paced work environment wile maintaining excellent customer service and staff interactions.

Skills Required
