As a member of the Provider Relations team, our Provider Relations Executives manage the overall experience of assigned healthcare providers, focusing on education, communication, and relationship-building to foster strong, long-term partnerships. Collaborates across departments to ensure effective provider partnerships, network stability, and adequacy – all in service of making our members’ health journeys easier.

What You Bring to Cambia: 

Qualifications:  

  • Provider Relations Executive would have a Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry with specific focus in provider relations, provider contracting, customer service, financial analysis: Provider/payer strategy development or implementation; Provider/payer contracting and reimbursement, preferably managed care; delivery system administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license is required.

Skills and Attributes: 

  • Effective Communication and Facilitation: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver challenging messages with diplomacy while maintaining strong relationships with provider partners.

  • Problem-Solving and Leadership: Self-directed with creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement a chosen course of action to resolve issues and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.

  • Strategic Thinking and Influence: Strong critical thinking, consulting, and influencing skills at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally, with the ability to present complex information simply and succinctly.

  • Operational Knowledge and Expertise: Knowledge of provider coding, reimbursement, contract methodologies, products, and networks, including value-based arrangements, with proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with healthcare systems and infrastructure.

  • Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, effectively manage conflict and ambiguity, prioritize work, meet timelines, and be available for occasional travel within the state.

What You Will Do at Cambia:  

  • Develops and Fosters External Partnerships: Develops and fosters collaborative, productive, and professional external partnerships with key providers and internal stakeholders to bring value and establish credibility as a trusted advisor and resource.

  • Cultivates and Maintains Provider Relationships: Cultivates and maintains relationships with assigned providers to support the successful execution of short, medium, and long-term Cambia business objectives.

  • Resolves Provider Issues: Coordinates to resolve escalated provider claims and/or operations issues that may involve internal and external meetings to ensure timely and effective resolution.

  • Tracks and Reports Performance: Documents information key to the provider relationship, tracks and reports performance on provider engagement and other metrics, and works with internal stakeholders to ensure providers have access to reports and tools.

  • Facilitates Joint Operating Committees: Facilitates Joint Operating Committees with providers to discuss business and operational success, roadblocks, roadmaps for relationship improvement, and new collaboration opportunities.

  • Implements Organizational Strategies: Manages the implementation of cross-functional organizational strategies, including utilization management, provider data improvements, and contracting, to improve the provider experience and member experience.

  • Develops Education and Training Programs: Develops and facilitates education and training programs for providers, acts as an external point of reference on policies, and represents the health plan's position on local and national provider programs.

The expected hiring range for a Provider Relations Executive is $82,000 - $90,000 depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history. The bonus target for this position is 10%. The current full salary range for this role is $77,000 - $127,000.
