Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Compliance Intern to join our Compliance team for the Summer. This opportunity will allow an individual to develop communication business etiquette skills, learn about the health insurance industry, and perform risk assessment to help the business.
This paid internship will be located at our corporate headquarters in Meridian, ID and may have some opportunity for hybrid work.
What we are looking for in an intern:- Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably a junior or senior standing student
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
- College level writing capabilities
- Detailed oriented
- Relationship management skills
- Conflict resolution skills
- Experience with workflow automation
- Experience with process optimization
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Exposure to resolving claims issues, provider appeals, and other provider requests
- Create and publish provider communications
- Provider relationship management and conflict resolution
- Exposure to industry compliance requirements and regulations
- Practical application of scheduling, data analysis, and meeting platforms
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
