Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and implement state-of-the-art mechanical, electrical, and optical measurement sensors, and develop signal delivery methods to data acquisition systems.
- Create and review drawings and specifications for products and measurement systems, and develop test product installation and operational procedures across the product line.
- Prepare and support design reviews, test readiness reviews, and the engineering tollgate process.
- Support combined test teams in scoping, test program planning, and execution to achieve program objectives, with a focus on gas turbines.
- Lead and coordinate with design engineering, manufacturing, field services, and customers to ensure tests are planned and executed flawlessly.
- Oversee component hardware modifications and integration into the test article assembly process, while providing hands-on support in the preparation of test articles and execution of test programs.
- Design and operate auxiliary systems providing power, cooling, lubrication, structural support, and safety measures for mechanical and electrical systems, and develop fabrication quality plans integrated with manufacturing processes.
- Procure necessary equipment, parts, and materials; manage suppliers; disposition nonconforming equipment, parts, and materials during manufacturing and commissioning; lead cross-functional teams of 3 to 10 engineers, scientists, and specialists; and ensure multiple schedules and budgets in support of engineering programs.
- Ability and willingness to travel globally to work at GE facilities, supplier facilities, or customer power plants, up to 30% of time per year.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Good interpersonal skills including developing strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE Vernova. Explains technical information to others.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related science

- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an engineering field
- GE Vernova EEDP (Edison Engineering Development Program) graduate (GE Vernova employees only)
- Experience with power-generating turbines, power plants, jet engines, or other turbomachinery
- Working knowledge of engineering software and proficiency in PC-based computer applications
- Strong engineering technical skills with a solid foundation in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, and mechanical and electrical measurement theory
- Practical engineering background including experience with tools, fabrication equipment, and/or electro-mechanical devices
- Proven project management skills with strong technical writing and documentation capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and positively motivate team members

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
