Prosthodontic Assistant

The Dental Assistant “assists” our Dentist during a variety of dental procedures. The ideal candidate is confident working with complex cases, understands the importance of precision and attention to detail, and is comfortable guiding patients through multiple stages of treatment. This individual should provide exceptional chairside support while helping create an efficient, organized, and positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
Provide chairside assistance for prosthodontic, restorative, implant, and full-arch procedures.
Assist with full-arch implant cases and complex restorative treatment.
Assist with crowns, bridges, dentures, partials, implant restorations, and temporization.
Take high-quality digital impressions/scans, intraoral photographs, radiographs, and other diagnostic records.
Assist with impressions, bite registrations, shade selection, and case documentation.
Fabricate, adjust, and polish provisional restorations as permitted.
Prepare operatories, instruments, materials, and equipment for advanced procedures.
Maintain excellent infection-control and sterilization standards.
Coordinate closely with doctors, laboratories, and the clinical team to ensure cases are properly prepared and tracked.
Monitor laboratory cases and confirm all necessary components are available before scheduled appointments.
Educate patients on treatment processes, post-operative instructions, and home-care expectations within the assistant's scope.
Help provide reassurance and support to patients undergoing extensive or complex dental treatment.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure records are completed appropriately.
Assist with maintaining inventory of prosthodontic, implant, and restorative supplies.
Support efficient patient flow while maintaining a high standard of clinical care.
Qualifications
Dental assisting experience required; prosthodontic, implant, surgical, or advanced restorative experience strongly preferred.
Experience with full-arch or implant-supported restorations is highly desirable.
Experience with digital dentistry and intraoral scanning preferred.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, restorative procedures, and laboratory workflows.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and patient-care skills.
Ability to anticipate the doctor's needs and work efficiently during complex procedures.
Comfortable working with patients undergoing lengthy and extensive treatment.
Dependable, professional, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced dental environment.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in All-on-X/full-arch dentistry, implant placement/restoration, prosthodontics, dentures, temporary restorations, digital scanning, CBCT, and complex cosmetic/restorative cases are strongly encouraged to apply.
