Primary Purpose:
Under the guidance of Senior Proposal Writers and manager, responsible for crafting response to customer Request for Proposal (RFPs), bids, and other customer inquiries. Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, leadership, and internal stakeholders to develop compelling responses to retain and win new business. Writes and reviews proposals to ensure they are top quality, organized logically, and written in adherence to corporate standards. Uses excellent project and time management skills to meet Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements. Writes and reviews additional documentation as required including offer letters, executive summaries, value statements, and responses to basic requests for information.

Essential Functions:
Assists in the proposal process from start to finish, including identifying requirements, creating/writing content, compiling supporting documents, packaging and submitting final proposals.
Facilitate meetings with leadership, sales, internal stakeholders, and subject matter experts to translate requirements into proposal responses.
Craft concise and persuasive content that effectively communicates our value proposition and differentiators.
Ensure all proposals comply with client requirements and align with corporate messaging and style guide / branding policy.
Support Senior Proposal Writers to manage multiple proposals simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
Work with the proposal team and Marketing designers to develop visually compelling graphics.
Research bid-specific, client-specific, or industry-specific information to enhance proposal responses.
Compile and submit questions to clarify proposal requirements, content, and/or deadlines.
Provide copy-editing for other writers on the team.
Ensure required approvals and reviews are completed, including thorough editing of final documents for accuracy, cohesiveness and organization of responses, content flow, and grammatical accuracy.
Under the guidance of Senior Proposal Writers, maintain boilerplate content, past performance, and other resources to streamline the proposal development process.
Conduct post-submission debriefing and analyze proposal outcomes to capture customer feedback, areas for improvement, and best practices.
Exercise considerable judgement and maintain confidentiality.

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.
Color Vision: Perception of and ability to distinguish colors.
Stationary Position: Must be able to remain in a stationary (standing/seated) position majority of the time.
Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma or Equivalent or better. Preferred Bachelor's Degree or better. Bachelor's Degree or better. Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, technical writing or similar discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal college-level education and specific experience in proposal writing OR Associate’s degree in English, communications, technical writing or similar discipline and two (2) years’ of applicable work experience or an equivalent combination of formal college-level education and specific experience in proposal writing OR High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years’ applicable work experience or an equivalent combination of formal college-level education and specific experience in proposal writing Outstanding project management skills, including ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or oversight in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field Proficiency with desktop publishing and proposal writing software Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws. Skills Required
- High School diploma or equivalent
