Job Description:

Aalis Management Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Proposal Writer with Federal Agency experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, writing, and coordinating responses to government RFPs, RFIs, and other procurement documents. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent writing skills, and a thorough understanding of government contracting processes.

  • Lead the development of high-quality, compelling proposals in response to government RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other procurement solicitations.
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive content that meets the requirements and evaluation criteria outlined in the solicitation documents.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure the proposal is accurate and complete.
  • Ensure all proposals are compliant with the solicitation requirements, government regulations, and company standards.
  • Edit and proofread proposals for clarity, grammar, and formatting consistency.
  • Maintain and update proposal templates and boilerplate content to streamline the proposal development process.
  • Manage proposal schedules and deadlines to ensure timely submission.
  • Analyze proposal outcomes and feedback to continuously improve proposal quality and win rates.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, preferably for government contracts.
  • Must be Shipley Certified or have taken courses.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes, regulations (e.g., FAR), and best practices in proposal development.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with proposal management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
