We are seeking a Proposal Specialist to lead the creation, coordination, and submission of high-quality proposals for our national security research and development projects. In this exciting role, you will play a critical part in capturing new business opportunities and growing our portfolio of defense R&D contracts. With our focus on innovation and technical excellence, you will have the chance to contribute to groundbreaking initiatives that make a real difference in the world.
Responsibilities:Develop and implement effective proposal strategies and content to capture new business opportunities
Implement gated proposal management process to manage and coordinate proposal schedules, timelines, and assignments to ensure on-time delivery of highest quality proposals
Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, graphics, contracts, and cost to create compelling and compliant proposal content
Author, review, and edit proposal documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all submissions
Ensure all proposals adhere to client requirements and meet strict formatting guidelines
Coordinate internal reviews and approval processes, securing stakeholder buy-in before submission
Track and analyze proposal metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement
Excellent organizational and project management abilities; able to juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Superb writing and grammar skills with expertise in generating compelling narratives that clearly convey complex technical content
Attention to detail to ensure compliance with Request for Proposal requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred); minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Familiarity with the Department of Defense acquisition process and applicable regulations
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
