Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Proposal/Quote Specialist to join our quoting team. In this entry-level role, you will support the preparation and pricing of customer proposals and quotes, collaborating with operations and SMEs to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and alignment with customer requirements. Responsibilities: Prepare and generate proposals and quotes based on defined customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency with company standards and pricing models. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Project Management, Finance, SMEs) to gather information required for accurate pricing and proposal development. Participate in client facing calls as required to discuss proposals. Escalate complex or non-standard requests to senior quoting specialists for review and resolution. Participate in training and development opportunities to build expertise in quoting tools, systems, and standard operating procedures. Assist in determining the appropriate equipment, lines, and capabilities needed to deliver proposed services. Manage proposal documentation, ensuring all required materials are complete, compliant, and stored properly in the CRM or document management system. Track and update quote status in internal systems, ensuring visibility for internal teams. Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in the quote preparation process. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Business is strongly preferred or equivalent professional experience. Experience: 0–2 years of experience in a business support, administrative, or analytical role (experience in quoting, finance, or sales support preferred). Proficiency in English (verbal and written). Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce). Key Competencies: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse group of colleagues in various locations.Top Skills
