We are looking for a Proposal Manager to help us manage RFPS and RFIs, ensuring Carrum is positioned competitively. The Proposal Manager will play a critical role in our success.

Reporting to the Vice President, Solutions & Strategy, you will own the strategic responses to both client and consult RFPS and RFIs and be crucial in their timely and accurate delivery; helping us ensure that Carrum Health is positioned competitively. You’ll be responsible for supporting Sales and Consultant partners by responding to client inquiries in order to move deals forward in the sales process. You’ve hustled, you’ve created, you’ve implemented, and you love the intensity of a startup in high-growth mode.

You will work alongside key cross-functional stakeholders to gain insight into client priorities and develop themes that position Carrum to successfully address those priorities. You will write proposals with a deep attention to detail, form, and accuracy and manage the RFP process to ensure sufficient reviews to deliver outstanding proposals and presentations.

This is a full time position, the salary range for this role is $115,000 - $135,000 plus bonus, depending on level of experience and geographic location.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Manage the end-to-end proposal process for client and consultant RFPs and RFIs including:
    • Lead proposal strategy sessions with sales lead, consultant team, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
    • Create, manage, and execute against the RFP response project plan
    • Use existing content library to fully answer RFP questions
    • Incorporate “win themes” that address client needs and priorities, competitive positioning, and Carrum’s product differentiation as appropriate
  • Collaborate with cross-functionally to new develop responses as needed
    • Partner with Commercial Analysts to incorporate impact analysis into responses
  • Ensure drafts are completed within associated internal and external
  • deadlines
  • Serve as the quality assurance function for final products, ensuring quality
  • and compliance
    • Keep sales leadership up-to-speed on RFP response progress
  • Respond to deal support questions and RFP follow-up
  • Participate in the continual improvement of the proposal process through the development of new materials and enhancement of existing ones by
    • Offering suggestions for process improvement
    • Proposal database maintenance

  • At least 3 years of proposal management experience, healthcare or technology company experience preferred
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and and timelines
  • Track record in identifying competitive themes in proposals to different clients
  • Ability to manage time and resources efficiently and effectively
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful — As an early member of a startup, we need people who can find creative ways to make a big impact quickly and without much direction.
  • Experience handling deadlines, keeping many balls in the air, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
