Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Do

·       Proposes technical solutions and build quotations for MV Drive, MV MCC & LV MCC applications.

·       Create a technical clarifications and exceptions database.

·       Be the focal point in the region/country for the MV VFD & LV MCC product range, of which you will be the technical expert regarding resolution development, questions, and information transfer.

·       Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system.

·       Resolve program support deficiencies. Develop and recommend corrective actions.

·       Deliver & build the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

·       Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve team’s capabilities.

·       Support Proposal Development Specialist on technical issues.

·       Work with Proposal Development Specialist to guarantee customer acceptance.

·       Maximize reusable standard product and engineering in project delivery.

·       Gathers information concerning the capabilities/applications of MV drives, soft starters and switchgear, and Motor Control Centers, analyses and solves complex customer requests.

·       Work with Proposal Development Specialist to clarify technical issues.

·       Cost reduction through development of reusable engineering or engineering standard.

·       Work with Proposal Development Specialist to achieve customer acceptance. Demonstrate application & technical expertise to achieve repeat order and retain customer satisfaction

Job Related Competencies

·       The Proposal Engineer MV Drive/MV MCC / LV MCC position is a consulting role that provides tools and technical assistance to Rockwell Automation Proposal Development Team, partners, and customers. 

·       You will support the Rockwell Automation Proposal Development Team with pre-order technical proposals which includes proof of concepts, system architecture review and recommendations, completion of technical data sheets and creation of technical and commercial proposal.

·       You will need to demonstrate an knowledge and and share technical information with others. This Proposal Engineer position will be mainly focused on supporting the MV Drive, MV MCC & LV MCC products.

·       Ensure technical deliverables matches project / work package requirements. Save engineering cost for GEBS team through application & technical expertise.

·       Working knowledge of Single Line Diagram, Schematics, VFDs, Soft-Starters, PLC & MCC System Designing

·       Must be aware of electrical design standards like ANSI/NEMA & CSA codes.

·       Have gone through complete project life cycle from design phase to commissioning.

·       High level of expertise in Integrated Architecture, Drive Application, Standard Drives, Intelligent Motor Control, Safety Product, Component Industry Control, Networks, and an understanding of Medium Voltage Product and Drive Systems.

·       High level of expertise in Industry Knowledge, Application Knowledge, Training Skills, and basic understanding of Project Management, Lean Six Sigma Skill, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety).

You will report to team lead/manager.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE

·       Bachelors in electrical /Instrumentation / Control / Electronics.

·       5+ years of experience in Industrial Automation
