Position:                   Promotions Coordinator

Job Summary:       

Under the general supervision of the Marketing Promotions Manager, assists with the planning, coordination, and implementation of various Marketing promotions to ensure that all activities run smoothly and successfully.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for the coordination of all marketing promotions from implementation to execution.
  • Responsible for the communication and exchange of facts relative to casino marketing promotions, with external and internal guests.
  • Responsible for coordination with internal departments and external vendors for the setup and breakdown of giveaways, floor signage, and displays for each promotion at the start and end of promotion/events.
  • Coordinates with appropriate departments to ensure smooth and effective promotion execution.
  • Coordinates with the warehouse and/or purchasing department on the inventory of promotional gifts, supplies, and other items, as necessary.
  • Maintains organization of promotional files for audit record keeping while ensuring accuracy of data entry records and maintaining confidentiality of guest information.
  • Fosters successful working relationships with all departments impacted by promotional direct mail and outside vendors.
  • Collaborates with Promotion Manager and Club Sol team to ensure all areas for promotions are completed, which brings credit to the team.
  • Participates in the planning and establishment of goals and objectives for promotions, lotteries, slot tournaments, and player incentives, and events, with respect to budgets, player reinvestment, logistical requirements, and other related subjects.
  • Facilitates and develops an environment that creates excitement for guests, establishes goodwill and credibility, expands message reach, and generates support.
  • Ensures the confidentiality of information and protection of guest account information. Exercises appropriate discretion in producing and providing information from the database.
  • Adheres to applicable regulatory, departmental, and Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Essential functions of the position:

  • Ability to lift and or move up to fifty (50) pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, reach, and twist while performing job duties.
  • Must be able to follow both verbal and written directions.
  • Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate with all guests, team members, and internal/external vendors positively and professionally.
  • Must be able to work in environments with high noise levels, flashing lights, smoking areas, and large crowds.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Must be able to drive/travel to or work at all CDS properties or any other events necessary for this specific role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of event planning, public relations, and marketing principles/practices.
  • Knowledge of departmental and Gaming Enterprise Division policies, standards, and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of office operations, including billing systems, filing systems, and records retention guidelines.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software, especially word processing and spreadsheets, as well as player tracking and gaming systems.
  • Skill in professional and courteous use of the phone.
  • Excellent listening skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Skill in completing assigned projects promptly and accurately.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and exhibit time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and exhibit problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations of the position.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and be fiscally prudent in recommending and/or selecting vendors, materials, and procedures to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to create a hype and exciting environment as an Emcee in giveaways and other promotional events.
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to utilize and operate computers, other equipment or devices related to the position.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School or General Equivalency Diploma AND six months guest service experience.
  • Must successfully pass a competency assessment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Must be able to work (may require shift changes), weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening in accordance with company policy.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a valid gaming license/background check.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
  • Six months of guest service experience
  • Successful completion of a competency assessment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, special events, and variable shifts
