Job Description

As a Website Project Manager at Kuno, you will own and lead the development phase of website projects including full redesigns and ongoing updates. You will work closely with the UX designers, web copywriters, SEO specialists, QA specialists, developers, account leads, and clients to ensure project efficiency and client satisfaction.

An ideal candidate for this position is someone who is passionate about the web, process-driven, thrives on efficiency, and cares about clean, scalable, and reusable code. You should be a life-long learner who stays up to date with the latest technologies and changes in best practices. You are able to help non-technical people understand technical subjects as well as communicate detailed functionality requests to developers.

General Responsibilities

  • Help internal team members scope project budgets as well as milestones and timelines
  • Document project deliverables and collaborate with internal team members and the client to gather the assets needed for development
  • Determine the best way to develop a template or module to ensure ease of use and scalability before assigning the task to a developer
  • Work with our in-house and outsourced development teams who may or may not have direct communication with the client, so being able to understand the project needs and provide detailed instructions is a must
  • Ensure development is executed with UX and Core Web Vitals best practices in mind
  • Attend internal and client-facing meetings as needed and serves as the day-to-day contact for fielding development requests
  • Assign tasks to appropriate team members and ensure that requests are completed on-time
  • Assist with page build-out and minor content or code changes as needed
  • Assist with quality assurance of individual pages as needed and participate in website quality assurance prior to site launches
  • Communicates any roadblock or changes in a timeline to the account owner and the client
  • Manages the relationship with smaller client accounts with service agreements limited to ongoing website optimizations and updates
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvements



Requirements

Job-Specific Requirements

  • 3+ years of website project management experience in a high-quality multi-project agency environment
  • Experience managing and delivering multiple web projects, all with different scopes of work, and at different phases of delivery, simultaneously
  • Front-end web development experience (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
  • Experience with HubSpot's development environment and HubL code syntax
  • Experience with the WordPress CMS
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of SEO and UX best practices
  • Experience using project management tools (we use Basecamp)
  • Experience using document and spreadsheet software (we use Google Sheets and Google Docs)


Preferred but Not Required

  • Shopify eCommerce website project experience
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Project management certification(s)
  • Backend development experience
  • Experience managing application/software projects


Education & Training

Kuno uses HubSpot CRM software for most clients. Previous experience with HubSpot is preferred. You will be given access to the HubSpot Academy online courses for ongoing training and education. During the first three months of employment, you will be asked to complete several video courses that provide certifications for a variety of topics that will help you have the most success in this position. Most courses are composed of a few hours of watching videos followed by a short exam of around 50 multiple-choice questions. The certifications need to be renewed annually.
