About The Role

As Staff Technical Program Manager (Staff TPM) at Dexterity, you will lead product development execution and guide cross-functional teams comprised of our sales, marketing , product management, engineering (hardware, software and systems), supply chain and operations to meet and exceed program goals. You will also engage with external partners and customers to drive end to end product success. In order to thrive in this role, you will create product development plan while leading the cross-functional team through Product Maturity/Lifecycle phases: proof-of-concept feasibility, Alpha, Beta, LA (Limited Availability) and GA (General Availability). In addition, you will be responsible for developing and implementing frameworks and foundational processes that will help accelerate our program execution rigor.


In this role, you must be comfortable with hands-on program management to deliver excellent outcomes, lead through example, earn the team’s respect, and help the Dexer team members’ grow. You must drive clarity, transparency and seamless knowledge sharing to drive alignment, efficiency and budget management within the program team. You may also have the opportunity to drive company wide large scale change management via strategic initiatives and special projects.


Day to Day Key Responsibilities:

Lead development projects and/or initiatives with notable risk and complexity; develop strategy for the project execution

Establish and manage program plan of record, schedule with critical path view, and budget for the program

Support the product management and engineering organizations in product definition and drive closure of architecture and technical risks in the early stages of a project

Identify and highlight technical and operational risk areas, and mitigation strategies in partnership with key stakeholders from the early stage to GA

Partner with supply chain and operations teams to identify and retire operational risks

Lead cross-functional communication between project teams, vendors and customers 

Proactively engage with mid and senior management stakeholders to drive execution and manage expectations

Help cultivate a culture of magnificent execution, transparency and accountability

Act as a program management domain and process expert for standardizing and aligning cross-functional teams to drive world class program management execution rigor


Desired Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Science or related discipline 

Overall industry experience of 15+ years with technical background, including 5+ years of experience as Technical Program Manager role with 3+ years in a senior level role

Proven ability to effectively manage large cross functional teams (preferably >50 team members)

Knowledge and understanding of product development processes and phase gates

Candidate should be a strong team player with advanced interpersonal skills

Strong verbal and written communication

Demonstrated ability to foster a healthy, collaborative, continuously improving delivery culture 

Detail oriented and perfers working in a fast paced environment

Challenge the status quo and give constructive feedback

Communicates complex ideas with ease, anticipates counter-arguments and persuades others, often at senior levels


Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $180,000 to $225,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
