General Summary:

It is a very exciting time to join Qualcomm's Automotive Business Unit with the success and growth of IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment). Telematics and ADAS (Advanced driver-assistance) markets. In this role you will manage SafeLaunch and Production phase of chipsets for the Automotive Business Unit. This role requires experience managing in all phases of production and product support.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Experience in semiconductor assembly and test, IC package and silicon qualification
  • Understanding of fabless silicon supply chain and operation
  • Lead multi-sites/cross-functional teams in planning and executing NPI from SafeLaunch to production to end of life
  • Familiar with silicon design/verification/test/FA for RMA support
  • Track program execution. Assess, identify, mitigate risks to meet program schedule, budgets and DPPM targets
  • Drive test time reduction, yield improvement to increase production throughput
  • Create weekly and monthly program status reports and represent at various reviews in the organization

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:• Collaborates with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop goals, set the prioritization of deliverables, and discuss necessary priorities and stakeholder needs.• Manages and takes responsibility for multiple small programs/technology with moderate complexity or a single complex program/technology by applying up-to-date program management knowledge to meet deadlines.• Develops and manages the execution of the program Plan of Record (e.g., on time, on budget, within scope) for multiple small programs or a single medium sized or complex programs/technologies which includes schedule and resource forecasting, stakeholder identification, method and frequency of communication, scope, and prioritization.• Tracks and manages all key metrics pertaining to a program and identifies when metrics deviate significantly from Plan of Record; escalates issues in a timely manner and proposes corrective actions.• Manages and prioritizes the work of the program team by establishing schedules, task assignments, and tracking tasks of team members.• Identifies program issues/risks and creates a risk mitigation plan for multiple small programs or a single medium sized or complex program. Maintains and updates the risk tracker.• Helps to promote program vision and objectives within own team, and ensures program objectives are met or exceeded.• Supports the adoption of processes by applying best practices and identifying and recommending process improvement opportunities within respective programs.

Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.• 3+ years of working with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years working with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials.
  • Thorough understanding of semiconductor fabrication, assembly and test processes;
  • 5+ years in the semiconductor industry (preferably high-volume manufacturing) with at least 5 years in Integrated Circuit product development, program management, operations program management or design engineering management;
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional teams consisting of analog and digital design, product engineering, reliability, package engineering, foundry engineering, New Product Introduction, product management, sourcing, and sales operations.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
  • 3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization.

$147,000.00 - $221,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
