WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Scrum Master enables CNB Agile teams to follow an agile development process that seamlessly aligns with business and technical needs. By leveraging Agile practices, tools and behaviors, the Scrum Master helps the team accelerate the speed of delivering value to our business, improve predictability, increase quality of deliverables and establish a culture of self-organization. The Scrum Master is a key role within an Agile delivery team as it removes any impediments that obstruct a team's pursuit of its sprint goals and ultimately deliver a product that generates business value for CNB Clients and our lines of business.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Facilitate low to medium complexity Agile initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with CNB Agile/Scrum practices
- Accountable along with the scrum team for the achievement of PI Objectives
- Manage risk to delivery by raising / resolving impediments in a timely manner
- Proactive management of external dependencies
- Create/maintain the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment
- Track & report team progress leveraging appropriate Agile metrics (i.e. Capacity, Burndown, Velocity charts, etc.)
- Facilitate Scrum team ceremonies; Daily Stand Up, Refinement, Planning, Demos & Retrospectives
- Provide updates on Team’s progress against PI Objectives & proactively manage dependency communications in the Scrum of Scrums
- Cross-functional communication, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes; report team progress and accomplishment up and across as requested/required
- Facilitate discussion leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team
- Active demonstration and reinforcement of CNB’s PRIDE (People, Relationships, Integrity, Dedication and Entrepreneurs) values in day-to-day activities
- Comply fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirement
- Complete all required training
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Scrum Master
- Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP, TDD, CI) for software development and how they can be applied in a product development / program delivery environment
- Minimum 2 years proficiency with Jira or other Agile Management tools
- Agile Scrum / SAFe Certified Agile Practitioner
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with JIRA, Portfolio, Confluence, and Bamboo
- Experience with SaaS systems and business processes
- Experience with financial accounting concepts
- Experience with business models used in the entertainment industry
- Experienced in Agile environment using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, XP, Kanban, or other Agile methodologies
- Experience leading distributed/virtual teams
- Minimal knowledge for various agile frameworks and implementation of Agile methodologies to multiple teams in large-scale enterprise change projects & programs
- Growth mindset, learning mindset, strategic thinking
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Organizational change management experience
- Ability to influence at all levels without straight line authority
- Familiarity with modern software engineering techniques such as Continuous integration, build, deliver, test-driven development and other automated acceptance testing techniques
- Banking or financial industry experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing, fluid and dynamic environment
- Highly collaborative, solid interpersonal skills and able to work with diverse personality types
- Motivate and enable the Agile teams to be self-organized and make them feel like awesome team members
Compensation
Starting base salary: $87,027 - $138,965 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
