Hyatt is seeking a Mobile App Release Manager to support eCommerce efforts building and releasing our native mobile applications for Hyatt Guests and colleagues. This individual will work closely with engineers, designers, and product management to create a rich mobile native app experience by coordinating, communicating, and performing releases of the native mobile apps.

You are a curious technologist with a passion for all things mobile. You might have had some coding experience in the past, but you’re always eager to learn more.

You have experience working in agile environments that have embraced DevOps and Continuous Delivery practices. As such, you prefer to service bureaucracy when necessary but avoid it when possible.

You love it when a plan comes together but understand the importance of flexible and novel thinking to achieve the desired outcomes.

You enjoy having a direct role to play in improving the experience of millions of customers worldwide who use Hyatt’s eCommerce platforms.

You are a strong verbal and written communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and execute native app releases on a regular cadence. Works closely with product teams and IT operations; this will include managing build automation and the various app store workflows.

Communicate release changes to all stakeholders in both written and verbal forms.

Work with product teams to identify and implement improvements to the release process.

Monitoring systems using analytics and metrics to help understand and report on release health.

Be comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative, experimental, and data-driven environment

Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.

3+ years of progressively complex experience in a mobile product engineering environment.

Experience navigating the Apple App store and Google Play Store release processes.

Experience with Chinese app stores is a plus.

Experience with Microsoft AppCenter, Azure Pipelines, and Jenkins

Some experience using tools like Splunk, Embrace, Datadog, Adobe Analytics, etc.

Some experience using automation tools like Selenium and SauceLabs

Familiarity with git and the various git branch workflows

Working collaboratively with disparate technology groups to identify and tackle release issues.

Excellent interpersonal skills required with a strong customer service orientation

Experience working in agile environments that have embraced DevOps and Continuous Delivery practices. As such, you prefer to service bureaucracy when necessary but avoid it when possible.

Strong verbal and written communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
