Group Operations Solutions (GOS) are technology partners to Group Operations business function. GOS delivers front-to-back aligned high quality IT services to support the growth and the profitability of the bank, ensure regulatory compliance, drive efficiency and further reduce complexity and cost. Retained Clearing Derivatives IT department within GOS Cleared Derivatives Control IT is responsible for supporting Operations business functions associated with listed derivatives trades after they have been transacted across the Investment and Private Banks for Securities The role will be to act as a technical and team lead across a number of systems and change delivery initiatives supporting this area.

The role is a senior Program/Project manager, located in Raleigh, providing an opportunity to learn about various technologies, and manage some of the more interesting projects in CS. The GOS CDC Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Delivering project within GOS CDC Retained Clearing
  • Preparing Project plans and driving project execution including preparation & distribution of Project Status Reports.
  • Identifying and managing risk to ensure proper mitigation measure are performed & project objectives are met
  • Producing project plans & partnering development team and subject matter experts to drive project implementation
  • Partnering with the Operations Business to ensure project delivery aligns to IT solutions identified per business plans and strategy and with the SME's and delivery teams as necessary to secure the necessary resources to ensure projects are delivered successfully
  • Wider involvement in business partners Cleared Derivatives
  • Identifying & proactively managing solution interdependency between CDC and the bank's other major strategic change programs.

Your skills and experience

  • Project Management/lead experience in Investment Banking setup & proven delivery in a global environment
  • Excellent organizational & communications skills
  • Experienced with handling senior business partner
  • Excellent documentation skills (Microsoft Project, Powerpoint, Excel, Word & Sharepoint)
  • Good understanding of technical 'building blocks' in IT, and ability to challenge applications owners, technical leads on plans, assumptions & estimates.
  • Good understanding of financial planning models and reporting methods.
  • At least 10 plus years of project management experience in financial services industry.
  • PMP or Prince certification is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of OnePPM is a plus
  • Good understanding of cleared derivatives clearing
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational ability and attention to detail
  • Positive demeanor to problem solving and delivery
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential i.e. professional polish in all communication to all levels
  • Ability to multitask and strong time-management skills
  • Ability to driver delivery across a wide range of projects and confident with challenging peers and bring out the best inn project team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, structured and analytical approach
  • Good understanding of full project life cycle and development process
  • Ability to network, negotiate and influence, strong collaboration skills. Strong client and business partner management capabilities.
