Program Manager
GDIT is seeking a Program Manager to help support our Engineering & Integration (E&I) contract in Chesapeake, VA. This position will require some onsite support.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage a workforce that performs voice communications equipment production and repair, integrated logistic support, system engineering, hardware test and evaluation, warehouse operation, to include installation engineering and support. Employee management includes hiring and performance evaluation.
- Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
- Coordinates and assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.
- Performs program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement.
- Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances.
- Develops technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
- Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
- Reviews future project requirements and develops strategies for future work.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Attends customer meetings and serves as primary client liaison.
Required Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline or business, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
- 5+ years of related experience, including supervisory experience.
- Must have managerial experience in providing project management support involving direct control and responsibility over subordinate groups providing engineering support services such as engineering change installation, technical assists, system certifications, USN shipboard system installations, system repair and logistic support.
- Experience managing military projects, Navy Contracts experience preferred for lifecycle support, ship maintenance, repair, ILS and installation of voice communications systems.
- Knowledge and experience with the Navy's voice communications systems which includes; Pierside Connectivity, ADNS, Voice Crypto, and Voice Telephony is desirable.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications, to include: Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated effective management and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willing to report onsite as indicated above
