Job Description:

The Manager, Project Engineer is responsible for supporting and assisting the Portfolio Chief Engineer in leading and managing Radio Products to deliver solutions aligned to business goals and accomplish the customers' critical missions, throughout the lifecycle of the product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist Portfolio Chief Engineer in delivering all products and services in accordance with established capability, cost, schedule, and quality commitments with flawless execution from product conception to end of life
  • Partner with Product Line Management to support product roadmaps and capability sets that meet the needs of the customers
  • Build strong relationships and proactive collaborate with engineering and program leadership to support business needs and changes in scope prioritization
  • Work closely with horizontal functional leads to ensure accountability in meeting established commitments and deadlines
  • Drive engineering productivity performance improvements including establishment and measurement of performance metrics
  • Develop collaborative relationships with product and program leadership teams
  • Share best practices among project teams, both inside and outside the organization
  • Support pursuits and proposals including review/approval of technical proposals, Basis of Estimates, and risk assessment

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Project Management Experience (Technical, Cost, & Schedule)
  • Exemplary planning and management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrable collaboration
  • Ability to articulate key message summaries to business executives
  • Able to self-start and solve problems quickly

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Documented history of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Domain Knowledge and Experience with International tactical radio customers
  • Active PMP Certification
  • Agile Scrum Master certification
  • Good organizational skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and a willingness to work with teams and individuals
  • Ability to learn new skills, meet deadlines, embrace new technologies, and follow process
  • High energy and proactive; ability to manage in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and sustain measurable results
  • Self starter, ability to work independently, show strong judgment, be decisive, and work with others to drive towards a common solution
  • High expectations for sustained excellence for self and team members
  • Proactively seek feedback and initiative to continually improve
