The Lessons Learned Program Coordinator will have the unique ability to help drive the execution on all GCB requirements of the Lessons Learned Program related to the monitoring, identification, assessment, tracking and reporting of qualifying events.

This role will be primarily responsible for weekly monitoring of qualifying events, supporting Lessons Learned program deliverables, aggregating and quantifying risk event data, leading Lessons Learned global assessments, collaborating with various stakeholders, and identifying trends and themes. This position will be part of a Global Operational Risk Capabilities (ORC) Team supporting GCB partners located in ASPAC/EMEA, NAM, and Mexico. This team operates in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Reporting to the Global Consumer Bank Lessons Learned Program Manager, this individual will be responsible for supporting the execution of Lessons Learned program requirements for the Global Consumer Bank, linking these requirements to other key processes, such as Issues Management, Industry Event Selection, Strategic Planning and Risk Appetite, as well as identifying and implementing opportunities for program enhancement.

Consumer Business Operational Risk and Control for GCB is structured to focus both functionally and geographically across the globe. Citi's Global Consumer Business Operational Risk and Controls (CBORC) organization drives global consistency for addressing Operational Risk and Control issues in the Global Consumer Bank. CBORC fosters a culture of control and customer centricity and accountability by leading efforts to identify, anticipate, measure, monitor, mitigate, and report operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.

This role will be responsible for helping ensure that Lessons Learned requirements are executed clearly, simply and effectively, aligning to other related programs, whenever possible. Citi GCB includes front office products and services, as well as technology and operations functions and services, spanning three regions (APAC/EMEA, MEX, and NAM):

  • Retail Products: Retail Branch Sales, Teller and Operations; Sales and Distribution, Wealth Management & Investments, Insurance
  • Credit Products and Functions: Cards, Personal Loans, Mortgages, Credit Initiation and Collections
  • Global Operation& Fraud Prevention including Contact Center, Fraud Execution Operations, Core Operations and Transaction Services
  • Global Consumer Technology
  • GCB Functions: Digital, ATM, Customer Franchise and Marketing, Technology, AML/CBSU



Responsibilities:

Be a key member of the CBORC Operational Risk Capabilities team, within the CBORC Risk Capabilities Organization, to support execution and reporting on Lessons Learned Program components such as Monitoring, Risk Identification and Quantification across all Risk Categories, Business Regions and functions.

Risk Categories include Credit, Strategic, Operational, Compliance and Reputational Risks.

Business Regions and functions include GCB Mexico, GCB Asia, US Mortgages, US Retail Bank, US Retail Services, US Branded Cards, Global Consumer Technology, and Global Operations and Fraud Prevention.

  • Contribute to enhancing the Lessons Learned Program in line with policy and procedural requirements.
  • Develop an interactive relationship with Lessons Learned Event Coordinators, Subject Matter Experts, and other key stakeholders to help ensure that the Lessons Learned requirements are adopted and incorporated timely and correctly.
  • Understand all business submissions and Independent Risk Management challenges, identifying key risk and mitigation themes.
  • Prepare Executive and Senior Leadership Reporting for use in the BRCC or other equivalent forums; provide weekly and monthly status updates, monthly trends by volume/GRC Risk Taxonomy.
  • Connect the Scenario Analysis requirements to other important processes, such as Issues Management, and Industry Event Selection for sensible alignment.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Lessons Learned Procedures, Training, Tools and Guidance for the Global Consumer Bank.
  • Serve as a Lessons Learned Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Provide risk management support in key risk identification, measurement and aggregation.



Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years experience navigating and networking across an enterprise utilizing internal and external resources Third Party Oversight/Vendor Oversight experience preferred Business writing experience preferred
  • In depth knowledge of Mortgage Servicing Operational processes and technology platforms supporting the Operations.


Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
