We’re looking for a Law Enforcement Response Manager to join team Snapchat! As a member of the Law Enforcement Operations team, you will review, index, and process all levels of legal requests from US and non-US law enforcement, as well as drive successful projects and tooling initiatives. Working from our Los Angeles headquarters, you’ll collaborate with the Legal, Customer Operations, and Engineering teams to assist law enforcement and protect Snapchatters.
What you’ll do:
Accurately review, index, and process various types of legal requests from US and non-US law enforcement
Manage and mentor a team of great people in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment
Enhance our operational workflows via process improvements. Able to identify tooling discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvements.
Constantly evaluate internal practices and drive solutions that make our teams scalable
Deliver key projects within the LEO roadmap, including execution; measured progress; and presenting results to stakeholders throughout
Participate in and help drive user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts
Anticipate project risks, provide escalation management, negotiate with decision makers, and balance business needs versus technical constraints.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends to help improve Snap operations and thought leadership
Execute effective workforce management and capacity planning
Review team members’ work product, create and deliver training, and provide feedback
Participate in on-call rotation for law enforcement emergency requests and internal escalations
Able to process complex legal process, including wiretap and pen register requests
Participate in trial appearances as a Records Custodian on behalf of Snap Inc.
Collaborate with internal and outside counsel on escalations as appropriate
Serve as a consultative partner with our vendor team and provide expertise for processing all types of legal requests with a high degree of quality and efficiency
Minimum qualifications:
5+ years of experience working in law enforcement, legal, compliance, or a related field
2+ years of previous people management experience
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, political science, sociology, Public administration, international relations, computer science, or another related area of study
Highly attentive to detail, with proven ability to accurately analyze lengthy legal documents
Experience managing multiple projects end to end
Experience managing a growing team
Preferred qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working directly with law enforcement in a professional manner and reviewing sensitive content
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal oversight
Process driven individual with a proven track record of identifying gaps and implementing new processes
Strong analytical skills, including working with large data sets to solve business problems, and providing practical business insights via data visualization software (Advanced EXCEL, Looker, Tableau, etc.)
Meticulous attention to detail
Able to work independently while also operating as a collaborative team player
Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the company
