Job Description
Exela Technologies is seeking an ambitious and energetic Marketing Event and Project Manager. This manager will plan, implement, manage, and execute all aspects of virtual and face-to-face tradeshow/exhibit experiences. You will define the experience, content requirements, coordinate internal and external speaker talent, own key elements such as establishing event objectives, managing creative elements, storytelling planning, deployment, and analysis (including return on event metrics), etc. This manager will be responsible for bringing the event to life, working closely with business, product, sales, and marketing leaders.

You will also manage all of the various initiatives that the Corporate Marketing is being tasked with as strategic initiatives are executed to support business growth. You will meet with many of the business unit leaders regularly and identify various strategic initiatives and projects that they need support for that spans our current resources. These initiatives usually require engagement from both content writing and design/creative resources, however, those current resources need strong project management for each initiative to be more efficient.

You are someone who loves events and conferences (even if they are virtual) and is highly skilled in project management. You have a passion for driving the narrative and can influence key stakeholders. You have a combination of event management and content marketer at an association, corporation, or marketing agency with a proven track record in developing content strategy and building meaningful experiences.

The ideal candidate has experience with enterprise software products and the Business Process Management industry, and has a deep curiosity and interest in the areas of business process automation and artificial intelligence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Plan and manage Exela's attendance and production of any customer Events, including virtual events• Coordinate and manage execution of strategic marketing initiatives as identified by business unit leaders and VP Marketing (i.e., campaigns, video production, asset creation, etc.)• Maintain calendar of deliverables for marketing content and creative resources• Assume ownership for marketing administrative tasks (i.e., tracking and reporting of results for publication views; analysis and tracking with BUs, etc.)• Research industry events and conferences, monitoring best practices and making recommendations.• Coordinate and manage execution of strategic corporate initiatives (i.e., participation in charity events; co branding projects; etc.)• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, marketing partners and cross-functional teams to develop and execute short and long-term event strategies, budgets, roadmaps, and communication plans.• Research and produce industry-leading conferences, including recruiting and confirming internal and external speakers for the event.• Responsible for completing and managing event strategy plans, proposals, recommendations and outside vendor statements of work and contracts.• Coordinate and lead kick-off meetings, vendor meetings and team meetings.• Distribute detailed plans as needed and provide timely updates to promote full transparency.• Work directly with content owners and creatives to help structure, build, and manage presentations and own final changes.• Create a run of show, manage and lead rehearsals and act as show caller for event days to ensure all parties are prepared for success.• Manage communications with presenters and hosts to ensure they have the correct equipment (mic, camera), test internet connectivity and liaise with management to procure equipment as needed.• Develop and manage resources, teams, and execution plans to fulfill the following:• Venue or platform research, analysis, sourcing, management• Audiovisual and technical production needs and facilitation• Event support, including event staffing and coverage assignments• Event theme and development of appropriate experience design to create, unique environments• Speaker/keynote engagements and presentations• Feedback and post-mortem data collection and reporting• Manage all budget and related financial responsibilities, including estimates, deposits and invoicing, billing, and event expense reconciliation, provide detailed post-show expense reporting.• Lead post-mortem analysis and recommendations for future event improvement• Manage master show list, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.• Understands and has experience in building thriving communities and is an active part of the professional events and marketing communities online and offline.

Job Qualifications:• Has managed multiple projects simultaneously• The ability to look across various initiatives and prioritize based upon Exela's strategic direction and priorities• 4-6 years of event management and production experience within the Events Industry, Marketing Consulting, Software / Technology organization• BA/BS degree in Marketing, Design or Hospitality (or equivalent practical experience)• Significant experience in creating an integrated event plan and successfully delivering dozens of experiences that meet/exceed marketing objectives.• A passion for technology and the potential for it to positively impact events of all shapes and sizes, and particularly virtual ones right now• An empathetic personality and care about solving problems and helping your immediate and broader team deliver world-class events• Top-notch organizational skills and are adept at multitasking and thorough in your documentation and follow-up practices.• Experience in storytelling or scripting.• Experience working with AV teams and virtual events platforms• Creative problem-solver with a strong design sense, with an exceptional understanding of creating a total event experience to achieve marketing and business objectives.• Effective communication (written and oral), organizational, and presentation skills.• Strong leadership with demonstrated ability to establish credibility among peers and senior management• Solid analytical skills and decision-making capabilities coupled with sound judgment and the ability to learn, recognize, and support what's best for the business.• High standards of accuracy with extraordinary attention to detail; high degree of quality orientation; ability to manage data integrity, security, and confidentiality.• Excellent project management skills, a keen sense of urgency, and a high commitment to customer service is required.• Ability to work in a flexible environment and comfortable with ambiguity (and tight deadlines).• Collaborative work style: ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.• Willingness and ability to travel.
