Strength in Trust

Our goal at OneTrust is to bring the power of trust to companies all over the world. Using cutting-edge technology and a real-world approach to ethics, compliance, privacy, security, and third-party risk, we’ve created a no-nonsense platform to help supercharge the global push for trust.

The Challenge

This person will contribute to strategy and lead implementation of OneTrust programs that reduce our carbon emissions, water consumption, and waste. As you develop and implement our own strategy, you will also be deeply involved in creating advice, content, products, and tools that help our customers collect, manage, disclose and extract business intelligence from their environmental impact data.  As a member of the OneTrust ESG Center of Excellence team, you will also share your expertise and passion about regenerative business and the transition to a low-carbon future through public speaking at webinars, conferences, customer community events, and internal training programs.

Your Mission

  • Contribute to the positioning of OneTrust as a trusted and responsible corporate citizen by identifying our opportunities to create a positive impact on the planet and communities, with a focus on key areas (carbon, water and waste) where we can reduce negative impacts and drive a positive or regenerative impact.
  • Help our corporate leadership become fluent in best-practice concepts, standards, and guidance such as Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Science-Based Targets, and Carbon Neutral and Net-Zero frameworks, as well as Regenerative/Net-Positive ambitions, so these ideas are consistently represented in our corporate strategy and governance.
  • Produce accurate measurements of One Trust’s climate change risk exposure and our environmental impact, using in-house resources to create a baseline carbon footprint for OneTrust, including our Scope 3 emissions, as well as our water consumption and waste footprints.
  • Partner with senior leaders to set targets for 2025-2040, choose KPIs in alignment with widely used reporting standards (CDP, SASB, GRI), and create a roadmap of prioritized actions that will drive progress to our goals.
  • Activate and guide cross-functional working groups (with representatives from operations, finance, marketing, and others) for program planning and execution.
  • Monitor climate risk regulations and developments worldwide; recommend appropriate adaptations to our strategies as needed.
  • Develop and activate policies that guide our organizational decision-making and individual behaviors so we can create a positive environmental impact.
  • Produce guidance to help our customers adapt and advance their sustainability programs for use in advisory services, events, and marketing programs.
  • Accelerate our sales and product development cycles by sharing a practitioner point of view with our Offering, Product and Sales teams when needed.
  • Monitor climate risk regulations and trends, identify the impact on OneTrust and our Customers; advise our Offering team on solutions.
  • Support a thriving community of customers on climate action issues with compelling thought leadership content via blog posts, conference presentations, panel discussions, etc.
  • Define and execute the OneTrust environmental impact strategy, including baselining, goal-setting, strategy-setting and implementation of programs to reduce our emissions, water, and waste across our entire operating footprint.
