CCR PMO Technology Manager

CCR PMO TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

Reports to: CCR PMO DIrector

Location: 241 Ralph McGill, Atlanta, GA - GPC Corporate Office

This is a hybrid remote position and you will be required to be in the office as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is a working lead responsible for business unit leadership, implementation, and ongoing management/use of the technology platforms being leveraged by the GPC's CCR PMO organization to manage CCR program/projects at GPC's 29 ash ponds and 12 landfills, including Oracle Unifier, Oracle Primavera, IBM Maximo, Oracle Projects, and other platforms as needed. Business unit leadership responsibilities include serving as the subject matter expert on project management technology solutions and the associated project integration framework. Additionally, this position is responsible for coordination with both Southern Company's T&PS construction and project management teams and the Technology Organization on the implementation of technology solution changes as needed to support ongoing revisions to project management business processes.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Leadership of Georgia Power's implementation of the Oracle Unifier solution as the project management software solution for the CCR PMO organization
  • Serving as the key contact for end-user issues and enhancements to technology platforms within the organization
  • Completion of various system administrator tasks within software tools for reporting, user set-up, dashboard configuration, and similar support on an as-needed basis for CCR PMO team members
  • Managing and performing system administrator tasks for CCR PMO technology platforms based on division of responsibility as agreed upon with the Technology Organization
  • Leadership of the team working on the integration of the GPC CCR PMO technology platforms into the associated Enterprise platforms in conjunction with existing timelines
  • Coordination with CCR PMO leadership, Generation, and Southern Company Services on strategy and implementation of technology solutions for the CCR PMO
  • Ensure technology change management initiatives, training, implementation, and workflow/process technology solution changes are well planned, coordinated, and implemented

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the GPC CCR PMO representative on the enterprise PMO user group
  • Managing access to the technology platforms for the GPC CCR PMO in coordination with the Southern Company Technology Organization
  • Developing and producing ad-hoc reporting on CCR PMO data from the various technology platforms deployed to manage, track, and report CCR PMO data

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)

Education & Job Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • Experience with project management principles and techniques, focused on process improvement
  • Experience with Southern Company Enterprise Solutions technology platforms to include application development, end-user training, business process use, data analytics, and reporting management
  • Ability to understand or experience with engineering principles, electric operating practices, construction practices, CCR regulations, budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and general business practices including the interactions among these processes
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through application and use of trending tools, data analytics, and reporting management

Leadership Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional project teams and resolving conflict
  • Demonstrated leadership on projects involving matrixed organizations or multiple work groups
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to internal/external and executive audiences

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with and recognition among peers and team members as a "Power User" for one or more enterprise-level technology platforms (to include Maximo, PowerPlan, PRISM, PowerBI, Tableau, AspenTech OIS, SQL Server, PIMS, PDMS, Oracle Primavera, and/or Oracle Unifier)
  • Experience with and recognition among peers and team members as a "Power User" or expert in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of tools for data analysis (to include Access, Excel, and/or Visio)
  • Experience with relational databases and database analytics
  • Experience as software administrator for enterprise-level technology solutions
  • Experience as an end-user trainer or "train the trainer" trainer for enterprise-level technology platforms and changes or new technology solution deployments
  • Ability to understand business processes and visually represent those processes and workflows for communication to stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external clients
  • Ability to interface with software providers/designers, contractors, vendors, and other parties
  • Ability to develop reporting tools to improve process efficiency and organizational effectiveness
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis, manage budgets, and provide accurate budget projections
  • Ability to develop and manage multiple project schedules, work plans, and budgets
  • Ability to work through others to achieve desired business results
  • Knowledge of contract administration
