Do you have a keen eye for technical detail and would you like to support our engineers in the development of state-of-the-art vessels? As a Project Support Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that all vessel components and technical data are correctly processed and maintained within our systems. You act as a connecting link between engineering, work preparation, procurement, and other stakeholders, helping projects run efficiently and accurately.
Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Project Support Engineer, you are responsible for the administrative coordination and management of engineering-related activities. You support Lead Engineers by ensuring that vessel structures, components, and technical information are correctly set up and maintained within our systems.
In this role, you will work closely with various engineering disciplines and support the smooth flow of technical information throughout the project lifecycle. You will regularly interact with colleagues from engineering, procurement, and work preparation to process requests, manage technical documentation, and ensure that engineering deliverables are correctly registered and maintained. To help you get started, you will receive training during your first week in the use of our PDM and ERP systems.
Your Tasks:- Transfer data through system interfaces.
- Coordinate the creation and processing of 3D models.
- Prepare technical request specifications.
- Support the preparation of technical purchase requisitions and orders.
- Process comments and feedback resulting from factory acceptance tests.
In this position, you will support Lead Engineers across multiple engineering disciplines, including Naval & Shipbuilding, Machinery & Piping, Accommodation, and occasionally Dredging & Offshore Systems. In addition, you will work closely with colleagues from Procurement, Work Preparation, and other business units, including IHC Defence.
Your ProfileTo be considered for this position, you should have:
- A completed technical education (for example: Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline).
- Strong planning and organizational skills, enabling you to maintain oversight and prioritize your work effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring administrative accuracy.
- An interest in engineering and the ability to work confidently with technical data and systems.
Please note that only candidates with a valid EU work permit will be considered for this position.
What We Offer- A gross monthly salary between €3558 and €4001, plus 8% holiday allowance (based on a full-time employment contract).
