As a Project Support and Solution Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our Tier 1 WMS Solution, while also contributing to the development efforts. You will support both project management and technical implementation, collaborating with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Key responsibilities:

Project Support & Coordination

  • Coordinate and support WMS projects, ensuring alignment with customer needs and specifications.
  • Support project managers and teams through all project phases (Design, Adaptation, Validation, Deployment), ensuring projects remain on track, on time, and within scope.
  • Track project progress, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables align with timeline, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, collaborating with internal and external teams to resolve dependencies and potential roadblocks.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the project team, assisting with resource management and scheduling. Including JIRA/customer ticketing administration.
  • Support in stakeholder engagement, maintaining effective communication with customers, partners, and suppliers to ensure confidence and project cadence is maintained.
  • Act as the second line of contact for customer inquiries, assisting in resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and support status meetings, steering committees, and team reviews, ensuring that project updates are delivered on time.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of internal project management processes.

WMS Development & Implementation

  • Contribute to the technical implementation of the project, working with the development team to create functional specifications and ensuring solutions meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop, test, and deploy software solutions aligned with project objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure that development efforts meet project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Assist with coding, programming, and development tasks, using relevant programming languages and tools to ensure seamless software solutions.
  • Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues that may arise during development or deployment phases.
  • Support the integration of supply chain solutions, ensuring that software interfaces and systems operate efficiently and align with business processes.

What knowledge and experience are required:

  • Proven experience in supporting the on-time, on-budget delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with specifications and timelines.
  • Strong technical skills in software development, with proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, etc.).
  • Experience in Supply Chain and Logistics operations and understanding of how these industries interact with IT solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Non-Agile project management methodologies and a track record of supporting these methodologies effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to assess the impact of technical decisions on business objectives.
  • Influencing skills and the ability to manage relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex technical and project information clearly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and development environments.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe, with potential for international travel.

What knowledge and experience are desired:

  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and experience in supporting both types of projects.
  • Relevant professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or software development (e.g., Microsoft, Java certifications).
  • Experience with Supply Chain Software development or integration.
