Job SummaryWe are seeking a Project Structural Engineer with Buildings experience to join our growing team in Austin. This position sits within AEC, a TYLin Company (https://aecollab.com/about)Responsibilities & QualificationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work on buildings projects of various types (including, but not limited to: commercial, institutional, residential)
Travel to project site and meetings as needed.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Signs off and approves their own work.
Coordinates with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
May conduct peer reviews and make technical presentations.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
P.E license or eligibility to register, is required.
Experience in the execution of commercial, institutional, residential projects as a Structural Project Engineer preferred.
